LARRY
SHEA Larry Shea is an artist working with video and interactive digital media. His interactive work Use it or Lose It was installed in the stairwell at The Anthology Film Archives, NY for the Mix ExperimentalFilm/Video Festival in November 2001. Another interactive piece, Muay Oasis was presented at the Platinum Oasis show in Holywood CA, in 2001, curated by Ron Athey and Vaginal Davis. His "Discretion Booths" have been shown at the SOHO Arts Festival, NY; Jackie60 @ Mother NYC, Pridefest NYC and the "Securite" conference, at The Jan Van Eyck Akademie, The Netherlends. He has exhibited his single channel videos at national and international venues including The Mix Festival in New York; MIX Brazil, Outfest LA , the Video Room Video Festival, NY, and the 2000 Ars Electronica Festival in Lintz, Austria; as well as on cable and the internet.He received his MFA from The Massachusetts College of Art and has taught at The New School for Social Research,NYC; The Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY and at Film Video Arts, NY. He is currently a Visiting Artist in Video at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.
